MARRIAGE was originally planned as a social commentary sketch about gay marriage. There was going to be a gay and a straight couple, both relationships would be exactly the same. They both fall in love, they get married, they resent each other and then one axe murders the other. There's no difference. That some how transformed itself into a weird, surrealist dark comedy short film. I wrote this with the intention of alienating the audience. I wanted the characters to sound like they were written by aliens who don't understand what humans are like. The milk scene in this script is WAY better than it turned out in the film. Enjoy!
Written days before shooting in November of 2011, MONSTERS IN THE CLOSET would be considered more of a sketch than a short film today. But it was definitely a bigger achievement at the time. In all honesty, this one is better on paper. We weren't really ready to do it as an actual film. The only major difference here is a weird gag where one of the monsters throws a severed foot at the kid. But that's about it.
