Let's not waste time here, here is the new video. It is a cinematography test type thing that I shot over a year ago to play with my camera. I just yesterday got it all color corrected and put together. So yeah, this isn't part of the regular schedule nor is it important or anything. It was just something sort of nifty to show off what my camera can do. WATCH IT HERE!
I'm still not done with the script and I should have had it done last month. So I'm putting off the series until next year some time. I need more planning time. I jumped on this one surprisingly fast. Granted, I've been planning this series since I was 7 years old. But, when the idea came up to finally go through with probably at the end of last year and I didn't know what direction to officially take until a few months ago, then yeah, I jumped on it pretty quick. I have a lot to do and not enough time to get it done. So as of right now, this series will kind of vanish for a while.
Okay, I think it's about time I clear things up. I will talk about this a lot more in detail as to the reasons why on the upcoming Mutual Admiration Society. But as of right now, it's time to get this out in the open at least.
Recently James Klim posted a video titled, "I Really Fucked Up" (or something like that). In this he describes how he posted a comment on someone's video and a bunch of things happened afterwards. Now he doesn't really go into detail as to the actual leaving of the show if I recall correctly. But the two people who left were Lacie and I. With Lacie it doesn't really matter to him anymore because the original voice actress returned. But, yes, I left Rain.
***THIS NEXT PART CONTAINS SPOILERS***
So if you are wondering how this is going to work with Season 2 coming out soon, my voice is still in that. We decided that since I already recorded them it would only be fair (and nice) for me to let him use them. However, I will not be returning for any future season(s) or anything that involves Rain what so ever. Now, something else to address is that I did some writing work for future episodes. The episode I wrote will still be using the script I wrote (with a few things changed of course) when that comes out, I'll let you know what's mine. Other than that, I also tried to help him better format the show and basically help it make sense and be interesting. This was a losing battle from the start. James is a man of supreme control. He'll listen to your ideas, but he won't take anything into affect. Again, this is more things I'll go over on the podcast. But just know for now, that there is much more behind this than a bad review.
DRAWING WITH TYLER:
So I have started work on Season 3 which has pushed me to the conclusion that this will be the final season of Drawing with Tyler. The show has gotten very stale to the point where it's not funny anymore. I'm running out of ideas. The fact is, the original first season was supposed to be 1 video with all of those drawing segments cut together, but there ended up being way too much material in there. So basically I made them their own videos. So yeah, let's jump to now. At the end of this season there will have been 15 episodes. Meaning you've watch the same thing 15 times. I don't care if I'm funny or not, that's a lot of repetition.
As always, I'll try to keep the show fresh as best as I can and go out of the box more than usual. I think this season will be a good send off and it is a good time to finally throw in the art towel.
So yeah, this seems like a lot of downer news, but there are good things to come soon...I think.
