Hey anybody who still reads this blog, I have a few things to plug on here.
Episode 6 is finally done and out. Not much to say about it that I haven't said already in other places. So just check it out here.
The Pink Elephant Podcast returned since my last update. Two new episodes have been posted to my personal YouTube channel. One of which is a "holiday special".
I neglected to mention last time that Chris and I started up a separate podcast for talking about movies simply called "Illumination Cinema Movie Podcast".
Both of these shows can be found on the IC website, HERE.
WISH YOU WERE HERE:
Speaking of things I never talked about on here, Chris did a short film back in August for the 48 Hour Film Project in Dallas. I co-wrote it and then several months later did a new edit and score for the film. It just went up on Friday. I think it turned out pretty good. Check it out here!
Holy shit! The last year has been exciting and then eventually turned horrible. I think it's safe to say that after May, nothing went quite according to plan. Getting cancelled caused us to announce Illumination Cinema much earlier than we wanted and created a lot of extra work for us. Episode 6's stupid schedule (or lack there of) caused a lot of extra stress. Then there were other elements of my life that had just spiraled out of control.
Thankfully that's all over now so we have a chance to get our shit together. It's kind of like I had an organized house and then some jerk ran in and wrecked the place. Now that all of that has past, it feels like I just came back to that house and I'm having to clean up the mess. It feels really weird not having anything that I have to be working on. I probably haven't had that feeling for almost 2 years since I started Brimstone. But I'll be filling that gap soon.
One major thing that I never really got figured out is how to manage the two websites. What ended up happening (and is probably for the best) is that I will be keeping the IC site up to date more than this one. Basically, expect posts like these where I quickly play catch up with a handful of releases. If you want something more direct, I'd suggest the Twitter or Facebook pages. This is more of a personal portfolio for now.
What lies ahead for us? Well, we have plenty in the pipeline. It's all just a little too early to talk about. Pretty soon I'll do some sort of update video where we talk about what to expect in the future.
That's all for now.

As the title of the post dictates, Episode 5 is now up on Blip! I mentioned this in the Episode 4 commentary, but don’t expect this new episode to be on the same scale as the last two. At least in terms of length. We decided it would be wise to reel back a little bit, make this more of a comedy episode and have it be a calm before the storm.
And what a storm it will be! We actually finished Episode 5 almost a week ago so I’ve spent that time getting a head start on Episode 6. If you don’t already know, Episode 6 is the season finale. So naturally, it’s going to be pretty packed with content, wrapping a lot of stuff up. The script is around 45ish pages which is about double the length of a regular episode. I don’t know how long the episode will be when it’s all done. But I’m pretty excited for this one. Due to it being the longest and most challenging episode, I sort of have to do nothing but focus on this. I might try to do a podcast during production, but we’ll see how that goes (more on that later).
We have gameplan set out and I hope everything goes according to plan. It’s been a long, challenging project. Hopefully in the end it will all be worth it.
Some of you reading this might be thinking, why haven’t I talked about the whole “getting cancelled” thing that I tweeted about. I’m going to cover that in a separate post. Rest assured. This is only a minor setback for us. We have a plan B.
So, there might be some other questions hanging in the air.
How did we do at AOFA?
I don’t know. From what I’ve been told, the pilot was well received. We were supposed to be told what the top ranking films were a couple days ago, but that didn’t happen. So we’ll see. Fingers crossed.
What’s going on with the podcast?
Again, I kind of don’t know. Most of the episodes are down right now because Joey hasn’t renewed our Pro account on Soundcloud. He’s talked about working out a solution, but it has yet to happen. I’m ready to get things fixed and get another episode out, but that isn’t up to me right now. If the Soundcloud wasn’t in disrepair at the moment, I would have just hosted an episode myself. Right now, it’s just a waiting game. We’ll see what Joey’s plans are.
On one last note, after this first season of Brimstone Terrace is complete, there will be some changes coming up. With pretty much everything. This website will look and be ran very differently. Right now, we’re just waiting for the right time to announce everything. Just expect changes.
That’s all for now children.

I haven't done an actual update in a while. So what have I been up to in all this time?
I'm pretty sure I mentioned that I was moving in the previous post. So now I'm mostly done with that. I swear man, I haven't had a single day where I could just relax. If I'm not unpacking, I'm animating, if I'm not animating I'm at work, if I'm not doing any of those things I'm getting a bit of sleep.
And work! Holy shit! Work! I transferred from the store I worked at to the one in the city I now live in. I used to get about 8 hours a week, which was stupid. Now I get 8 hour days and only one day off. Which is also stupid. "But Tyler, you're making more money! Life is all about money!" No. Time is more valuable to me than money to me. So I'm sort of wishing I had a middle ground to make up for all the work on animation that I can't do. I realize these are totally first world problems. Right now I just need a bit of balance to reach my ideal situation until I eventually change things up.
I've been working on Episode 5 obviously. It was going great. Then I moved. I've been trying to make up for all the time I've lost but it's hard when I'm not totally settled yet. I've gotten 2 out of 7 scenes animated. So it's been a very slow process an it's kind of bumming me out. Hopefully I'll get some more time and things will pick up.
Want a still or something? Well, here's a still or something.
But something pretty cool happened which I don't think I mentioned on the website yet. Brimstone Terrace's pilot is a selection in the American Online Film Awards. It's pretty cool. They're currently having their Spring Showcase in which people can watch and rate films. If you want to help us get some sweet ratings you can see us HERE. You will need a screening pass unfortunately. But if you go HERE you can get a discounted one for 3$. You can help us have a chance at an Audience Award or something and check out some other films as well.
Also in Brimstone news, I posted the commentary for Episode 4 featuring Chris and I. Watch that HERE.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Like I said, I've been super busy so I haven't had much time to do anything else. I'm trying to get the next podcast to happen but that's not 100% up to me. Hopefully that will happen soon.
I talk about almost all of this in a little update video. You can watch it here...
Catch you later everyone!
-Tyler W. Moore
Surprise! While making Episode 4, we put together a little behind scenes video about making the show. It has interviews with myself, Tori Kamal, Lacie Wallace, Christopher Strong and not Jamie Zin. Give that a look HERE!
We also recently made a new edition of Pink Elephant Indie Radio! Listen to that HERE!
Not much else other than that.
-Tyler W. Moore
That's right! Episode 4 of Brimstone Terrace has made it's way to the internet. You can watch it HERE.
I've probably said this a billion times now, but this is my favorite episode. It's the first time we actually had some time to set aside for something more thematic and I think it worked.
In other Brimstone news, the commentary for "Devil's Advocate" went up a few days ago. You can see that HERE.
Also, I think I may have prematurely announce a new episode of the podcast. It was supposed to be recorded this week. I don't know what happened. I'll let you know when that comes out.
Hope you enjoy the new episode! Thanks for watching!
-Tyler W. Moore
Decided this would be a good time to pop in and say that Episode 4 is nearing completion. Things have been pretty slow lately, but I'm hoping in a couple weeks I'll have some good news.
In other Brimstone news, we recorded the Episode 3 commentary. I just haven't put it together and posted it yet. I'm too busy at the moment.
In other other news, we recently put out a new episode of The Pink Elephant Podcast! I've been trying super hard to get one episode out every two weeks. But we ended up totally skipping a deadline due to Joey being ill as always.
In this episode we talk about the Oscars, how we handle improv, the new Godzilla film and Twitter snobbery. I think it turned out pretty solid. Give it a listen on Soundcloud or iTunes.
That's all I've got for now. But, as I usually do, I'll leave you with a still.
-Tyler W. Moore
It's been a month since my last post. Man, I remember a point in time where I couldn't go a week without making some sort of update because I just had so much going on. I mean, it's not like I have nothing going on right now. In fact, I'm pretty swamped. I just don't feel comfortable talking about some things yet. A lot has changed in that respect.
I've got a ton of things I need to do. Some people (me) like to think that they are incredibly gifted multi-taskers. But what usually ends up happening is, you take on a huge workload and instead of focusing on one thing at a time you jumble it all up and end up working on nothing in the process.
But enough about that. What's going on?
BRIMSTONE TERRACE EPISODE 4:
I'm working on it. Next!
PINK ELEPHANT PODCAST:
Episode...um...9? I think it's 9...Episode 9 of The Pink Elephant Podcast is out! Our wonderful host, Joey Crozier, has returned to reclaim his spot so that you won't have to hear me try to play host. I might have said in a previous post that I really don't enjoy being show runner on a podcast (anymore) so I'm really glad Joey is still doing it for this show.
Anyway, what goes on in this spectacular new episode!? Well, it's almost 2 hours long so it's pretty packed with content. Joey, Jamie and I try to play a bit of catch up but end up talking about other things instead. These topics range from "The Snowpocalypse", lessons in history and how things work, Christmas in Australia and as always we managed to throw in some masturbation jokes as well.
It's a pretty good episode. Hard to believe we've been doing this show for almost a year now. Well, sort of. We did take a 6 month break. But still, hard to believe. Feels, man. Feels.
You can find the new episode HERE and there should be a newer one coming very soon if all continues to go well.
I won't be able to really talk much about anything here. But I'll do my best to get some sort of point across. As I said earlier, I've got a lot on my plate. Priority #1 is episode 4 of Brimstone and finishing the first season in general. But I'm also switching between that and some side projects. Most of this is playing writer/producer on series and short films. I wish I could talk more about it, but I think that would be a bad idea.
One of those projects is obviously "The Controller". Or as it is now called "The Controller: Cease Control", but I'm probably not going to bother including the sub-title. As you can tell, it's been going through some developmental changes. I had to play a bit of catch up this week and figure out where I stand with my work on the show. I kind of have to start from scratch. But that shouldn't be an issue seeing as I sort of wanted to anyway.
I don't really know any specifics on when anything is happening with any of these projects, it's going to be a while. But when they happen, you'll know.
Anyway, I'm starting to ramble and this post slowly starting to feel more like a diary so I should probably wrap this up some how.
Adam is so freaking hot. I hope he asks me to prom. That would be wicked cool.
-Tyler W. Moore
Yeah! That's right! The show no one asked to come back is back!
Last Friday, we recorded and released the 8th episode of The Pink Elephant Podcast. For those who are unfamiliar, The Pink Elephant Podcast is a comedy podcast where we talk about what we're working on, tell some stories and talk about what ever. Unfortunately, Joey (the regular host) couldn't make it to the recording so I had to host this time around. Man, that didn't feel right. You can kind of tell we're getting back in the hang of things. Hopefully, we'll back in tip top condition soon.
So who's in this episode? Izzy Dulay, (a hungover) Jamie Zin and myself. I think it's a pretty good episode and you should listen to it on iTunes or SoundCloud.
Hopefully, Joey will return soon enough. But in any case, I plan to get the show back on a regular schedule.
What else is up? Right now I'm still working on the early stages of Episode 4 of Brimstone. It will still be quite a while as you would expect. But as of right now, it's coming along nicely.
There are a couple other things in the works right now. But it's all behind the scenes stuff at the moment.
So that's about it...
Enjoy the podcast for now!
-Tyler W. Moore
Figured I would pop in here and give a quick update for episode 3.
If you didn't see the Facebook post, which I know you didn't, the hard drive issue has been fixed.
I'm currently 85% done with the second phase of animation and Chris is helping get a head start on the final phase. We still have a few weeks ahead of us, but the episode will be coming very soon.
I'm very excited to see what people will think of this one, as I think it's the best one so far.
As for anything else, if you've been following anything regarding the podcast, we were trying to put together a Holiday Special. But schedule conflicts and everyone being sick all time screwed that up. But Joey and I are really trying to get it back on track for the new year.
Also, I made a Vine. Follow me on that if you're in to it. I don't really care.
Hopefully I'll have some awesome news for you soon. I've a busy new year ahead of me and I'm greatly looking forward to it.
-Tyler W. Moore
I posted up a long overdue update video. Crazy how things have changed since the first iteration of this, but at it's core it's still the same.
