The ninth and final installment of our podcast THE MUTUAL ADMIRATION SOCIETY is now out. In this episode we recap some of the events of the past 5 months. We also talk about things such as BRIMSTONE TERRACE, DELIRIUM, LEGACY, a few of Jamie's other works and our upcoming show FILM WAR.
I believe I've probably talked numerous times about why the show is ending. It really just is a matter of us not having the time or patience to do the show. Even when we agreed to do one final episode (on New Years Eve) it took us until now to finally set it up.
If you notice that Lacie sounds a bit shittier than usual it because she's recording from her laptop when she was usually in the same room as me for past episodes.
Over all, I think this is a good send off. I think it's inevitable that there will be a new podcast eventually (not any time soon). It will most likely come at a time when my life is more interesting.
But without further a due, here is the TMAS PAGE. You can get a link to the YouTube video, listen to it on the page, or download an .mp3.
The next thing you can expect from me is the February update video thingy. I'm projecting that for the 27th or 28th.
-Tyler W. Moore
So that update video I was talking about exists now. Here is that...
So, like I said in my previous post and in this video, there won't be any sketches for a while (or they'll be few and far between). So what can you expect from me?
You will be well informed. I'll update this blog anytime something comes out or if something big happens. Also, if you've ever looked at my Twitter you know I'm on that shit all day er'yday, so I will update this shit out of that.
I may be a bit quieter than usual. But I'll be just as busy. I hope to not disappointment.
Oh, also I put up a voice acting reel for a bunch of characters I've done. YOU CAN SEE THAT HERE.
-Tyler W. Moore
Here are my projects for next year...
We've got a lot to talk about here children so let's waste no time.
THE FLOOR IS LAVA:
I of course just put out a new video called "THE FLOOR IS LAVA". You can WATCH THAT HERE!
"...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL":
It's probably been a while since I've talked about this one, huh? Some of you probably don't even know what this is. As a quick recap, "...And Justice For All" is a feature film I've been trying to get off the ground for almost 3 years. In recent time, I've been stressing out over it a lot and wondering if it is worth it. I look at the script and see a script I wrote when I was 16. My heart just isn't in it any more. For now, it's being shelved. One day, I may want to return but it will be off my radar for a long time. You have to pick your battles, children.
In place of this I have something I've been sitting on for about two years now. It's in early stages, but it should be great.
More info on that soon...
Well, I could have blamed Jamie for a while there. But, my mic just kicked the bucket. It sounds awful when ever I try to record. I should get a new one around Christmas time.
Yeah, yeah. You're sick of it by now.
The master copy was sent in for review. I got an e-mail not too long after saying it was complete but they had an issue with the cover art. So I resubmitted everything. It should be done reviewing again soon I hope.
If it's done super early, I might release it earlier...I doubt it though.
That's all I have for now. Cool things are coming you way.
-Tyler W. Moore
Alright, I finally have a few things I can talk about.
As you may have read in my last post. The film has been completed. As of last night, the DVD is now complete as well. It's very simple and everything is pretty much on the main menu. But, it looks decent for my first time making one. I tested it out last night and it works. It looked good on my big screen and it looks even better on a BluRay player. It's still DVD quality but it's good enough.
Anyway, I sent it in to the distributor today. They should be receiving it by Thursday (the 30th). From what I've read it takes 10 business days to be approved and copied and what not. Then I have to wait on them to send me a test copy. Which if they send it as priority as I did, it should only be 2 or 3 days. I'm assuming I'll get it sometime in the week of it's release. Hopefully as soon as I give the go ahead it will be available to buy. It may be a close call, but I think it will be up on the 21st as promised.
Sorry about it taking a month longer than expected.
Last Friday I filmed for 3 sketches. Two of which will be coming up soon. The other is for a collaboration which I will give a link to when it comes out. Here are two images for you to see with your eyes...
We are going to start up again soon. It's all a matter of when though. It's hard getting started again and hopefully we will be able to keep it up and keep it consistent.
Yeah, I'm doing that now. I put up behind the scenes image and few images that consist of my "wanna be photographer" skills. http://www.instagram.com/tylerwmoore enjoy.
That's all I've got for now children. BYE!

Hello three people who read this,
I just came out with my new video SCAVENGER HUNT which can be seen HERE.
To bring you some good news, I have just updated my release schedule and there should be some less pathetic/"only me" shorts coming out soon. I should also be filming a segment for a sketch comedy film that is being made by a friend of mine. He asked me to write a sketch for it and I did. Naturally, I'll be directing a starring in my segment. I have no idea when that will come out though it's up to him. I will post an update when the time comes though.
I'll be trying to put out some good stuff soon so bear with me.
Also, I'm well aware I posted SCAVENGER HUNT a week early. My bad. A new sketch will be coming out next week to keep everything going normally.
As for a quick update on TMAS and DANIEL...
TMAS is still on hiatus.
DANIEL is going to be super late but I will be taking measures to get it done within the next two weeks.
-Tyler W. Moore
I've got a few things to talk about. So I'm going to go ahead and do that, okay? Okay.
I've got two pieces of news for TMAS. One of them is that we are just calling our absence thus far/ the continuing absence to come a "hiatus". We will be back soonish. The reason behind this is where I could maybe find time between all of the stuff I'm doing. But Jamie has been sick and now he is about to graduate and I understand how that is a mad dash to get everything done and done right. So when that blows over we will start doing the show again.
However, I am the bearer of good news this day, as The Mutual Admiration Society is now on iTunes! Only the first 6 episodes are up right now because I've reached my monthly upload limit. When that passes I will upload the remaining one and all future episodes. SO SUBSCRIBE TO THAT.
Once again I'm just throwing more news out there. The DVD release may be a little late. Jamie has basically told me that it could be around November 3rd when I get the 2 shots I need to finish DANIEL. Everything else is done for the most part. There is an outtake reel, an audio commentary featuring Tori Kamal and I, and storyboard animatics. These things are basically done. The movie itself is 98% done just waiting on those two shots.
After all that, I should be able to get the DVD made soon after if the person I'm trying to get to help me, helps me.
MILK was definitely a step up from some of the lamer things I was putting out. I have a bunch of ideas right now though, a lot of things that I can set in to motion. Some of them are kind of short and lame but I try and space those ideas between a nice cushion of good content. I'm really debating what to put out first, so I think I'm going to end up shooting two videos in the next few days.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Here are some pictures of Lacie and I from Halloween yesterday.
She is a bunny and I decided to be a pig lawyer named David Hamilton Attorney at Law at the last minute...
-Tyler W. Moore
I've got good news and bad news.
I've been chipping away more and more at DANIEL and I'm getting so close. However, I still have a lot to do and not much time. Now I know you must be thinking I have plenty of time seeing as I've got well over a month until the release date. FALSE! There is a lot of complicated stuff I have to do to prepare this DVD and get it sent in and okay'd. My goal is to finish the DVD completely by the 25th and have it on it's way to the distributor. It will then take 20 business days to process and I want to make sure I have time if anything goes wrong.
So in short I've got 11 days to finish a DVD and I have yet to finish the film.
I'm getting there. I have one scene to re-shoot and I need a few shots to finish one scene. Then Jamie has to send in the visual effects shots, I can edit them and I have a basic film. Then I have to make music add any extra sounds I need. Review it. Export it. Get all of the special features done. Make a DVD. Send it out. And the rest is up to God...or a bunch of guys who have to sit and watch a sock puppet movie to make sure they want to distribute it. :P
There will not be a TMAS this week as scheduled. Jamie has been sick throughout the latter part of this week. It's done a number on his voice and is making him lethargic. There is also the fact that we are trying to find a new recording time. The transition has been a bit weird. We are trying to make the show weekly and that should start happening soon. We've just been hitting some speed bumps. So give us time, we're working on it and there should be an episode if not NEXT week, then in the regular time scheduled for the next episode.
All the work I have to do on DANIEL may drag down my ability to shoot another video. I'll try to do something. But I can't promise that I will get something done. If I can't get a skit out, I'm pretty sure I have some sort of special extra video laying around that I could upload in it's place. But I do realize that is kinda lame and I'm sorry.
I'll try my best to turn out something good.
-Tyler W. Moore
Hello, I've got a few neat things to say.
The newest episode of The Mutual Admiration Society is out. We had a few complications in trying to record, so we ended up recording the next morning State side and at midnight in Australia. So unfortunately, no Hamish in this episode and even though we say he will be back, we ourselves, in the process of making changes are thinking that he may just be an occasional host. We think that the show may be just Jamie and I and possibly an extra person. But we will see. As we also say in the episode. We are trying to make them shorter. That didn't work this time as it is a longer episode than normal. This is because we are changing the format and a change that we may be making soon will also help the run time. So that's enough about that.
A video I shot a couple months ago that I have kept on the shelf until I needed it or I felt it was the right time. I need it for both. That will be coming out next Wednesday.
We have been working on DANIEL for the last two days and I'm almost done. I've got a few studio things I need to do and then it is on to editing. Once again, I think this one is going to take a miracle edit. But it's happened before. I think this will turn out to be a pretty good short film.
HERE IS A BEHIND THE SCENES PICTURE AND THE FIRST EVER OFFICIAL STILL!!!
So I'll be working on that.
-Tyler W. Moore
Hey everyone I'm here to- Yeah. We all know what this is about.
LIFE IN THE BAG:
New video. SEE IT HERE! As you will be able to tell by the written commentary, I don't hate this one, but I'm not enthralled about it. But yeah, check it out.
We will be doing a bit of tweaking with the show. After talking it over with Jamie we have decided to do a few things that we think will improve the show. We are considering these first 10 or so episodes to be sort of a testing stage. We are going to play around a bit and try new things. I will explain it all in the upcoming episode so no need to do it here.
Things are about to get pretty crazy for me. I'll make sense of that soon enough. But I'm tired and I'm about to become more tired as I make a bunch of calls, send a bunch of emails and texts, do a bunch of paper work, run around making sure I have things, make thousands of lists and probably get a few disappointments along the way.
Wish me luck.
