So as I've probably said in the past few updates, I've been working on Brimstone Terrace non-stop. All of us have been pulling out all the stops to get this thing done by it's release date. Lacie and I have pulled all nighters trying to get the artwork done. I'm slowly becoming more and more terrified however, that we won't make it. I have already missed my deadline for art. Right now, I should be editing. I'm still on the third scene out of seven.
The biggest problem I have yet to face is the fact that my editing system is now crap. I was going to do this on Premiere but for some reason it isn't working now. I acquired that program for free through a friend and I apparently don't know how to make it consistently work. iMovie can't handle animation which leaves me with the last resort of Premiere Elements 11 which is the single worst program I have ever used. Using it makes me want to punch holes in the wall, it's that bad. I'm looking for another alternative. Normally in a situation like this, I would hand it over to someone else. But, this isn't a conventional editing gig and it would be too hard to explain and it would also be quite the risk letting someone do this for the first time.
I'm going to explore a few options. But I have no idea what good that will do me. Right now it's a matter of crossing my fingers.
My other problem is really just a creative crisis. I don't mind putting every frame together. That's the only way it will be done right. But, it's a very robotic task at times. It's hard to continuously find motivation to do it. That along with the constant distractions I have and my overall environment is suffocating me. I really wish I could go somewhere else to do all of this.
So I don't know what all of this means to you. I guess I'm just trying to get it out there and say that the episode may air later than intended.
If so, you have no idea how sorry I am.
I'm going to continue looking for a way around everything and continue to press on. THIS WILL COME OUT!
