2016:
After all this time, I'm realizing I never wrote anything for this one. Not that anyone reads these.
This video has a fairly interesting story. By interesting I mean, it took a long time to get off the ground and had the most re-workings of any sketch I've done. It was originally devised in 2010, I believe, as an episode of a comedy show that never really took off. I tried several times to make this episode but it never happened due to lack of people and budget. Once that show was long gone, I tried to rework it with a different cast in 2012. That never worked either. Ultimately, I re-wrote the script once again in January of 2013 and made it a spiritual sequel to "Conquest" (which was also a script from that series).
Making it took me a week or two. I put a surprising amount of effort into it for a long form sketch. I always sort of hoped it could be used as a launching point for a series with these "Kevin" and "Tyler" characters but I never really made it happen.
At one point, I planned on making a third and final installment in the trilogy called "Money". Kevin and Tyler are living with Amy, I'm pretty sure Lacie was going to be dead or something and their lives were in total chaos. The idea being that from Conquest to Money you would see them go further down the rabbit hole, becoming worse and worse human beings. I believe they find a briefcase full of money that belongs to a mobster and end up doing a job for him. They develop a Scarface complex, make lots of money, do lot of drugs and steal the mobster's girl. Tyler wakes up next to her corpse because she overdosed in her sleep, Kevin wakes up in a bath tub full of ice with his kidneys removed and they begin to panic because they know they've screwed up. They end up resorting to robbing a restaurant and both die in the process. A fitting end for these characters. I started writing the script but knew it would never happen due to lack of budget and because of the direction my career was heading in.
As for KGAGP, it's okay, I guess. I probably could have done a better job. But it's fine the way it is.
