It has been a rather long process getting this one done.
I believe I wrote this back in March or April of 2011. I just had the urge to write a cartoon and actually animate it. I never have that urge.
Any way it took a long time after I finished the storyboard to actually get to work. One idea I was originally going to go with was to do it hand-drawn. I decided against it for now. But, I will be doing that sooner or later.
I loved doing the art for this one it was very fun for once. Especially working in background elements. It just looks so good compared to everything else I've done.
I tried a new lip-syncing method this time around as well. Usually I would just have two pictures of the character. One with their mouth open, one with their mouth closed. Then I would just flip between those. But that usually looks horrible. I really just overall tried to change up my animations style so it wouldn't suck.
You might also notice I use the cop out of doing a close in shot any time they walk. That is to avoid animating legs moving.
Anyway, I really enjoyed getting this done. Even the voice acting on my part was fairly good. I think I did good handling 4 different voices of my own. This is also the first time Lacie Wallace has ever voiced in anything of mine. She appeared in a TV spot with me for a school play, but that was about the extent of anything. But I think she did a pretty amazing job.
Over all, this little animated skit turned out pretty good and it has provided little bits of help for me throughout the course of it's production.
